the property of LEAA.
Statement of Purpose
The HerrinFesta Art Exhibition was developed
to provide a forum for Southern Illinois artists
to compete and display their work with the
support of Herrin Hospital and Carbondale
Community Arts/the Illinois Arts Council.
The HerrinFesta Italiana Art Committee (HIAC)
and the Little Egypt Arts Assoc., Inc. (LEAA)
form the Art Committee to produce the
HerrinFesta 2008 Art Exhibition, a showcase of
southern Illinois artists.

Eligibility
Southern Illinois Artists and Art Students
Art works must be original, completed within
the past three years, and not previously exhibited
in HerrinFesta art competitions. No work may
be withdrawn before the exhibit closes.

The following categories of media and
processes will be accepted.
- Painting & Drawing
- Photography and digital
- Fine Crafts -
- Collage or Fibers
- Sculpture - all media
- Pottery or Furniture
- Stained Glass or Blown Glass
- Jewelry and Metalsmithing
Limitations
The HerrinFesta Art Committee
has the right to reject, upon arrival, any work
submitted. The committee will not accept
anything over 30 x 42 inches (2.5 ft x 3.5 ft
finished) due to limited space considerations.
Framed size MUST be on entry forms.
Framing Work
Must be appropriately framed,
ready to hang with wire and screw eyes--no
sawtooth hangers. Students work may be dry
mounted, matted, and/or framed. Framed works
are preferred for ease of handling and the less
likelihood of damage to artwork.

$15 first entry
$5 others--maximum of 5
Students up to age 18
$5 for three entries
DELIVERY 5/17/08 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
No work accepted after this date!
Late Fees After May 10 entry fees will
increase to $20 for first entry, $10 each
additional, up to 5.
Insurance
Artists’ provide their own
insurance.
Sales & Commissions
HerrinFesta Italiana Art Committee
will collect payment, deduct a 20%
commission, and issue a check to artist
for sales of their works. Mastercard/Visa
accepted. Artists agree that HIAC will
receive a 20% commission on works sold
during the exhibition at HIAC in 2008.
Liability Artists
Your submission of a
signed entry form constitutes your agreement
to the terms and conditions stated in
this prospectus.
Liability HIAC
Precaution will be taken
in handling entries to protect against
damage or theft; however, the Art
Committee does not accept liability for
any accident, damage, or loss to
works submitted to the exhibition.

Herrin Hospital Exhibit
We are pleased
to display the work of patients in the Acute
Rehabilitation Program of the Herrin Hospital
in affiliation with the Rehabilitation Institute of
Chicago and Southern Illinois Healthcare and
by Herrin Hospital, an HIAC Art Exhibition
Sponsor and major underwriter of this Exhibition.
